Inside the Library of the World's Sole Reader
The reader doesn't know what else to do but reading. And reading he does, in his own private library, safe from the scenario unfolding outside. In here, forever and ever, and ever.
At the end of the wall, a little girl awaits.
Brilliant fireworks spark, dance, and flutter in a ruined world.
Made in 3 days for Genshiken Story Writing Challenge June 2023: Fireworks and Adventure Jam 2023, written in Bitsy as my first attempt to learn the tool. For this project, I use Bitsy as is, without any hack or external scripts.
Heavily inspired by Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint and The Starless Sea. Though nothing is a direct spoiler, you may refrain from reading until you reach chapter 551 of ORV.

I can't say I'm familiar with The Starless Sea, but the narrative in this was really quite refreshing to go through after reading ORV!
Oh, hey! Didn't expect anyone would pick it up on itch, but I'm really glad you found it.Thank you.
I hope you had fun!
I really honestly did! I wasn't sure how much of the dialogue was influenced by ORV events specifically, but it was really enjoyable to play through having read ORV!
