Devlog #2: It's a Long, Long Journey

So I said I wasn’t gonna reskin everything. Yeah, about that… the script isn’t going where I want and I need to get this project moving somehow… Besides, I figured it would give me a good practice with Light.VN’s flavor of ATL…

The developer of Light.VN is pretty responsive and released a new update just in time, grouping all the default resources together to customize. I’m glad I asked, because this lighten my load considerably. That being said, there’s still a whole LOT to do, and at this point I kinda paint myself into a corner since a half-finished UI is probably more jarring than a full-template UI.

I decide to go with NVL-mode this time and maybe experiment a bit with the way it’s presented on screen, which I know is a lot to ask from myself with everything going on and such a tight schedule. I honestly kinda dread the moment I have to put everything together…? It’s also usually the most exciting moment seeing what you work for coming together, but. (sweats)

Well, let’s not make this depressing. Thanks to the dev, I find out that Light.VN allows you to create texture on the spot so when you have the correct asset later on you just have to make sure name’s the same. Neat. I’m very sorry, dev-san, your engine is very cool, but at this rate my Spooktober entry would probably be a glorified Powerpoint slide.
